CIS fulfils comprehensive international requirements.

With a CIS certificate, companies and organisations are literally on the safe side. This is because CIS is state-accredited in its function as an independent certification organisation and is therefore subject to strict guidelines.

CIS is regularly audited by the Austrian Ministry of Economic Affairs in accordance with statutory standards and therefore fulfils the requirements of the international ISO/IEC 17021-1 standards for system certification, ISO/IEC 17024 for personnel certification and ISO/IEC 17065 for the certification of products, processes and services.

CIS certificates are valid worldwide

CIS certificates correspond to government documents, are internationally recognised by authorities and customers and are also valid in court.

The national accreditation is valid worldwide due to the international agreements with EA and IAF.
CIS certificates are

  • valid proof of due diligence in legal proceedings
  • recognised worldwide by authorities, companies and business partners

Accreditation for the certification of management systems

according to ÖVE/ÖNORM EN ISO/IEC 17021-1 according to the accreditation decision of Akkreditierung Austria pursuant to § 3 AkkG 2012 Accreditation Body of the Federal Ministry of Labour and Economy (BMAW).

The accreditation of CIS by the Federal Ministry of Labour and Economic Affairs (BMAW) covers information security according to ISO/IEC 27001 (as well as numerous extensions from the family of standards such as ISO 27017, ISO 27018, ISO 27019, ISO 27701) and Business Continuity Management according to ISO 22301 as well as for the area of service management according to ISO/IEC 20000.

 

Supplementary accreditation by APMG

CIS is also accredited by the international organisation APMG to issue system certificates for ISO/IEC 20000 worldwide in accordance with the requirements of ISO/IEC 17021-1.
