Becoming CISO of the Year 2026 with your project

What is one of the best career boosters for information security managers in the country? An award and visibility for outstanding achievements, of course! This year, CIS is once again looking for the “CISO of the Year” to give projects in the field of information security the status they deserve.

Have you managed an incredible project? We want to see it!

Share your learnings with a large community of experts at the CIS Compliance Summit and benefit from a broad network of knowledge and exchange! Everyone is invited to submit who:

• have successfully completed or further developed an information security management system under challenging conditions or
• realised the special integration of various management systems, or
• have implemented a successful, innovative security project

Whether IT, security or AI: Your contribution is an important experience value for the further development of our information security systems! Take the opportunity to put your project in the spotlight and show the positive impact it has on your company. Winners will not only receive an education voucher for further training in areas such as information security, business continuity or data protection, an award and an all-in communication package from CIS, but also a stage to present their project to numerous visitors from the community at the CIS Summit 2025 on 16 September.

In the next step, an independent jury of experts will make a pre-selection and invite the candidates to a jury interview. This will be followed by the award ceremony and presentation of the winners’ successful projects at the CIS Compliance Summit.
