ACP IT Solutions GmbH Graz offers a 360° IT portfolio with customised solutions, the latest digital services and innovative ideas. The core areas of operation include Digital Solutions, Network & Security, Hybrid Cloud & Data Centre and Modern Workplace. In this success story, ACP takes us with them on their journey to the highest security standards:

Structured approach to information security

It is obvious that such an important player in the IT sector – as ACP is – is also committed to implementing the highest standards and structured processes in the area of information security and IT service management in its own operations.

“Of course, we already have very efficient security solutions in place. At the same time, it was important for us to further structure our internal, organisational processes with certified management systems and thus continuously improve,” says DI Stefan Kienzl, BSc, Chief Information Security Officer at ACP.

The company has been certified according to the international standard for information security (ISO 27001) since 2021 and according to ISO 20000 (IT Service Management) since 2019. “We are delighted to have gone down the certification route together with CIS. The certificates issued help us enormously in tenders, as they are increasingly required by the market and stakeholders. On the other hand, they are a transparent statement to the outside world, which increases the trust of our customers.”

When it came to choosing a certification partner, ACP opted for the internationally recognised and state-accredited company CIS – Certification & Information Security Services GmbH. The independent CIS experts accompanied ACP’s path to system certification, from the initial consultation and the implementation of measures in accordance with the relevant standards through to auditing and licensing.

Additional flagship for cyber security

“ACP Süd (Styria/Carinthia) is also a qualified body in accordance with the NIS Act and is therefore authorised to carry out cyber trust audits,” continues information security expert Kienzl. The EU NIS Directive was introduced in 2019 to protect critical infrastructures in areas such as energy, transport and finance. “In order to underpin these corresponding external consulting, security and auditing competences, we knew that we wanted to go one step further.”

The Cyber Trust Austria® Label is an Austrian seal for companies and organisations that want to have their precautionary measures relating to various security criteria audited and confirmed by independent, official bodies. The certification service provider CIS – Certification & Information Security Services GmbH supported ACP with the auditing required for the Gold level (especially in the area of ISO 27001). Due to CIS’s state accreditation, many services can be offered from a single source – customers thus benefit from the profound expertise of the CIS experts, the proven transparency and the resulting head start in the market.

How ACP, its customers and partners benefit from the extra effort

The Cyber Trust Austria® Label in Gold awarded to ACP officially confirms that not only is a necessary minimum level of security being pursued, but that the company also fulfils the increased, strict security precautions, especially in the area of cyber security. ACP’s customers and partners can therefore rest assured that their data is in the best protected hands. In addition, due to the certification and the label, ACP is constantly working on discovering and closing any security gaps that may arise and thus being able to continue to provide the usual service quality at the highest level.

The recertification of the ISO 20000-1 (service management) and ISO 27001 (information security) standards, which was successfully completed in autumn 2022, forms the basis of ACP’s security strategy and provides significant support in increasing service quality and improving corporate security
