Accreditation
CIS fulfills international requirements
If companies have a CIS Certificate, they are on the safe side. For in its function as an independent Certification Body, CIS is accredited federally and thus subject to stringent directives.
CIS is being reviewed periodically according to legally prescribed standards for Certification Bodies by Akkreditierung Austria and thus meets the stringent requirements placed by the international standards ISO/IEC 17021-1 for system certification and ISO/IEC 17024 for certification of individuals.
Accreditation for certification of management systems
acc. to ÖVE/ÖNORM EN ISO/IEC 17021-1 as per decision on accreditation of Akkreditierung Austria as per § 3 AkkG 2012 accreditation body of the Federal Ministry of Labour and Economy
Accreditation for certification of persons
acc. to ÖVE/ÖNORM EN ISO/IEC 17024 as per BGBl. ll Nr. 369/2008
Accreditation for certification of products, processes and services
acc. to EN ISO/IEC 17065
CIS Certificates are official documents, are recognized by the public authorities and customers on an international scale and also are valid before the court.
CIS certificates have validity worldwide
Austrian national accredition is valid worlwide thanks to agreements with EA and IAF.
CIS Certificates are:
- documents recognized federally
- valid evidence of due diligence before the court
- respected internationally among public authorities and companies
CIS accreditation by Akkreditierung Austria includes information security acc. to ISO/IEC 27001 (as well as various extensions of the norm family like ISO 27017, ISO 27018, ISO 27019, ISO 27701). As for the field of IT Service Management acc. to ISO/IEC 20000, and Business Continuity Management acc. to ISO 22301.
Additional Accreditation by APMG
Moreover CIS is accredited by the international organization APMG and therefore eligable to issue system certificates acc. to ISO/IEC 20000 with worldwide validity in accordance with requriements of ISO/IEC 17021-1.
