Harald Erkinger is new CEO of CIS
In January 2023, Harald Erkinger took over the CEO position of CIS - Certification & Information Security Services GmbH. The 42-year-old Viennese has an international career in the field of information and cyber security and understands the customer requirements from an audit-, consulting- and operational perspective. Erkinger will continue the focus on customer needs and on delivery of high quality services for the benefit of our customers and their stakeholders and end customers. He succeeds Klaus Veselko, who will depart on 28 February 2023.
Harald Erkinger (42) took over the Managing Director role of CIS GmbH on 1 January 2023 and is responsible for the entire international business of the state-accredited certification company. The trained information security manager (Dipl.-Ing studies at the FH Oberösterreich Campus Hagenberg) has 18 years of professional experience in information- and cyber security as well as digital- and cloud transformations. Most recently, the Viennese native successfully worked with his own consulting company in London (England) and served international clients as CISO amongst other roles. His clients included the Red Cross, Prudential, Tesco and Royal Mail. Prior he spent ten years implementing security projects for a portfolio of Deloitte clients.
